Zapraszam - odkryj ze mną świat mediów: świat farb i tekstur. 

Dwa tygodnie temu był zlot w Krakowie, na którym nie mogłam być, dlatego postanowiłam spróbować czegoś nowego w zamian. I tak zmediowałam szklaną butelkę, którą dostajemy z mlekiem i sokiem pomarańczowym co tydzień od lokalnego rolnika. Mam ich sporo, więc czas na recykling :)

Najpierw całą butelkę okleiłam dokładnie za pomocą kleju Magic i kawałków gazy. Dostałam w ten sposób pierwszą warstwę tekstury i stworzyłam bazę do dalszych działań. W tym kroku szczególne ważne jest, aby nie zostawić miejsca na butelce bez kleju - żeby gaza została dokładnie przyklejona do naszej bazy. Wcześniej poszukałam w pracowni i w domu materiałów, które mają ciekawą fakturę. Wyciągnęłam taśmę jutową oraz odciski z masy soft. Możesz użyć dowolnego odcisku z foremek: ja postawiłam na prostokątną rameczkę i kwiaty. Sprawdzą się tu świetnie wszelkiego rodzaju i wielkości koraliki, kuleczki, taśmy i odciski - to one zbudują wizualny efekt 3D, na którym nam zależy, potem możemy podkreślić go jasną albo metaliczną farbą.

Gdy już zebrałam na biurku potrzebne produkty sprawdziłam czy gaza i klej zupełnie wyschły, po czym zabrałam się do pracy. Całość pokryłam najciemniejszą farbą. Ja użyłam nagrzewnicy chcąc przyspieszyć wyschnięcie pierwszej warstwy - jednocześnie polecam Ci, jeśli tylko masz taką możliwość, pozwolić wysychać poszczególnym warstwom na powietrzu. Szkło ma nieprzepuszczalną powierzchnię, dlatego intensywne nagrzewanie będzie powodowało skraplanie się wody, która będzie odparowywać z kleju i tym samym zbierać się pod elementami osłabiając przyczepność. W finalnym rozliczeniu tak klejone kompozycje będą znacznie mniej trwałe.

Po przyklejeniu komozycji pomalowałam wszystkie elementy kolejną warstwą ciemnej farby, wykorzystując do tego farbę metaliczną Art Alchemy- Metallique- MIDNIGHT SKY od Finnabair. Bardzo ważne dla mnie było uzyskanie jak najciemniejszego koloru tła, dlatego zanim użyłam kolejnej farby upewniłam się, że ta warstwa całkowicie wyschła. Sięgnęłam po mocno rozbielony błękit- położyłam go bardzo delikatnie- praktycznie tylko muskając pędzlem wystające elementy oraz te, które najbardziej chcę podkreślić i wydobyć. Kiedy wszystko wyschło użyłam farby Art Alchemy- Metallique- ICE QUEEN od  Finnabair i tym sposobem wykończyłam moją butelkę nadając jej metalicznego akcentu. Ten kolor jeszcze bardzej podbił każdą teksturę, którą stworzyłam. Na koniec dodałam jasne kwiaty z materiału i praca gotowa. Jestem zadowolona z efektu mojego pierwszego poważnego mediowania.

Two weeks ago was Art'n'Craft in Krakow. SInce I couldn't come, I decided to do something for the first time. And so I altered a glass bottle that we get with milk and orange juice every week from a local farmer. I have quite a lot of them, so it was high time to recycle at least one :)

First, I glued the whole bottle carefully with Magic glue and pieces of gauze. This way I got the first layer of texture and created a base for further actions. In this step, it is especially important not to leave any space on the bottle without glue - so that the gauze is carefully glued to our base. Earlier, I looked for materials that have an interesting texture in the studio and at home. I pulled out the jute tape and the prints from the soft mass. You can use any imprint from the molds: I opted for a rectangular frame and flowers. All kinds and sizes of beads, balls, tapes and imprints will work great here - they will build the visual 3D effect we care about, then we can emphasize it with bright or metallic paint.

Once I gathered the necessary products on the desk, I checked if the gauze and glue were completely dry, and then I got to work. I covered the whole thing with the darkest paint. I used the heater to speed up the drying of the first layer - at the same time I recommend you, if you have the opportunity, to let the individual layers dry in the air. Glass has an impermeable surface, therefore intensive heating will cause condensation of water, which will evaporate from the glue and thus collect under the elements, weakening the adhesion. Compositions glued this way will be much less durable.

After gluing the composition, I painted all the elements with another layer of dark paint, using Art Alchemy-Metallique-MIDNIGHT SKY metallic paint from Finnabair. It was very important for me to get the darkest background color possible, so before I used another paint, I had made sure that this layer was completely dry. I reached for a strongly whitened blue - I put it very gently - practically only brushing the sticking out elements and those that I wanted to emphasize and bring out the most. When everything was dry I used Art Alchemy- Metallique- ICE QUEEN paint from Finnabair and this way I finished my bottle giving it a metallic accent. This color brought up every texture I created even more. At the end I added bright fabric flowers and the work was ready. I am satisfied with the effect of my first serious alteration.
