Lato to sezon ślubny, więc sięgnęłam po zawieszkę MDF w kształcie serca i kolekcję Melody of the heart od Alchemy of art. Jej beżowe i bordowe odcienie idealnie pasują na tę okazję. Z dekoru odwiązałam jutowy sznureczek, który średnio pasuje mi do eleganckich papierów. Bazę okleiłam najciemniejszym arkuszem z ornamentem. Dokładnie pokryłam ją klejem, docisnęłam papier, a jego nadmiar odcięłam nożykiem introligatorskim. Nie zapomnijcie przebić dziurek! Świetnie sprawdzi się do tego szydło lub jakikolwiek szpikulec. Brzegi serca pokryłąm klejem do złoceń przy pomocy pędzelka i, po przeschnięciu, pokryłam je płatkami w kolorze różowego złota. Potem odrysowałam kształt bazy na drugim arkuszu, odrobinę go zmniejszyłam i wkleiłam na kawałkach tektury introligatorskiej, by uzyskać dystans. Piękny roślinny wianek i kwiatowa kompozycja od razu zainspirowały mnie do pracy.

Summer is the wedding season, so I reached for a heart-shaped MDF pendant and the Melody of the heart collection from Alchemy of art. Its beige and burgundy shades are perfect for this occasion. I untied a jute string from the decor, which doesn't suit me well with elegant papers. I covered the base with the darkest sheet with an ornament. I glued it, pressed the paper and cut off the excess with a utility knife. Don't forget to punch holes! An awl or any skewer will work great for this. I covered the edges of the heart with gilding glue using a brush and, after it dried, I covered them with rose gold flakes. Then I traced the shape of the base on the second sheet, reduced it a bit and pasted it on pieces of  cardboard to create distance. A beautiful plant wreath and floral composition immediately inspired me to work.


Po wycięciu kwiatów z arkusza z kolekcji, zaczęłam układać kompozycję. To centralne okrągłe miejsce aż prosiło się o ramkę i napis. Oczywiście sięgnęłam po dodatki z Kreatywnej Pracowni Kowalczuk. Ozłocenie delikatnego napisu było zdecydowanie najtrudniejszym zadaniem. Musiałam pracować bardzo ostrożnie i precyzyjnie dozować preparaty. Po pokryciu tekturki gessem, nałożyłam klej do złoceń i po kilku minutach płatki. Efekt nie od razu był zadowalający, więc powtarzałam czynność kilka razy. Tekturkę przykleiłam na dociętą kalkę, by podkreślić jej błysk i usztywnić ją odrobinę. Okrągłą ramkę natomiast pomalowałam na biało farbą akrylową z Koh-i-nor. Ma cudowne krycie!

After cutting out the flowers from the collection sheet, I started to arrange the composition. This central round place was begging for a frame and an inscription. Of course, I reached for accessories from Creative Pracownia Kowalczuk. Gilding the delicate inscription was definitely the most difficult task. I had to work very carefully and precisely dose the preparations. After covering the cardboard with gesso, I applied gilding glue and after a few minutes the flakes. The effect was not immediately satisfactory, so I repeated the procedure several times. I glued the cardboard onto the cut tracing paper to emphasize its shine and stiffen it a bit. I painted the round frame white with acrylic paint from Koh-i-nor. It has wonderful coverage!


Kwiatowe wycinanki i listki z wykrojnika układałam od zewnętrznej strony serca, zgodnie z wzorem na papierze. Kolejne warstwy podnosiłam na kosteczkach dystansowych, a te najbliżej środka oparłam o tekturowe koło. że kalka prześwituje, więc klej lub kosteczki należy nakładać w najmniej widocznych miejscach. Po wciągnięciu wstążki w pasującym kolorze, dekor jest gotowy. By nadać mu osobistego charakteru, można wydrukować imiona Pary Młodej i datę ślubu, a na odwrocie zamieścić życzenia.

I arranged the floral cutouts and leaves from the die on the outside of the heart, according to the pattern on the paper. I lifted subsequent layers on spacer cubes, and the ones closest to the center I rested on a cardboard circle. the tracing paper is transparent, so glue or cubes should be applied in the least visible places. After attaching a ribbon of matching color, the decoration is ready. To give it a personal touch, you can print the names of the bride and groom and the wedding date, and write your wishes on the back.
