Today I have a project for you in which I want to show you how to create the patina effect in various ways.

Bazą mojego projektu jest zwykła plastikowa ramka z sieciówki. Po rozłożeniu ramki, pomalowałam szkło czarnym gesso, a następnie odbiłam wzór maski przy użyciu pasty strukturalnej Jewel Sparkling Onyx, samą ramkę również pomalowałam czarnym gesso. Po wyschnięciu, złożyłam wszystkie elementy i przykleiłam zagessowane odlewy. 

Całość pomalowałam pastą Brass, która dodała piękny miedziany kolor, jest ona świetną bazą do tworzenia efektu patyny.

Po wysuszeniu zabrałam się za tworzenie patyny, użyłam do tego dedykowanej pasty Patina Effect Paste, w pięknym niebieskim kolorze, pastę położyłam szerokim pędzlem , tapując tak, aby piasek, który nadaje struktury pięknie wszedł w zagłębienia ramki. Przy użyciu atomizera pozwoliłam paście popłynąc po powierzchni. Dzięki temu rozmyta pasta naturalnie rozlała się po detalach ramki nadając im pięknego matowego wyglądu. 

Oprócz past idealnym sposobem na patynę są woski matowe w kolorach Patina Blue i Patina Green. Użyłam ich na odlewach z żywicy, jest to najprostszy sposób ma uzyskanie pożądanego efektu, a do tego przepięknie pachną.

 The basis of my project is an ordinary plastic frame. After unfolding the frame, I painted the glass with black gesso, then applied a mask pattern using Jewel Sparkling Onyx structural paste, and also painted the frame itself with black gesso. After drying, I assembled all the elements and glued the thickened casts.

I painted the whole thing with Brass paste, which added a beautiful copper color, it is a great base for creating a patina effect.

After drying, I started creating the patina, I used a dedicated Patina Effect Paste, in a beautiful blue color, I applied the paste with a wide brush, taping it so that the sand that gives structure fits beautifully into the recesses of the frame, using the aromizer I allowed the paste to flow on the surface, Thanks to this, the blurred paste naturally spread over the frame details, giving them a beautiful matte look.

In addition to pastes, the perfect way to create a patina are matte waxes in the colors Patina Blue and Patina Green. I used them on resin castings, it is the easiest way to achieve the desired effect, and they smell wonderful.
