Wielkanoc za pasem, więc pora udekorować dom. Uwielbiam ten czas, bo napawa mnie optymizmem i dodaje energii. Spośród bogatej oferty wielkanocnej naszego sklepu wybrałam zajączka z paper mache. To lekka figurka z twardej papierowej masy, którą można dekorować na wiele sposobów. Ja wybrałam decoupage.

Easter is just around the corner, so it's time to decorate your house. I love this time because it fills me with optimism and gives me energy. From the rich Easter offer of our store, I chose a paper mache bunny. It is a light figurine made of hard paper pulp that can be decorated in many ways. I chose decoupage.

Na początek pokryłam całość warstwą gessa, a następnie białą farbą akrylową. Z arkusza papieru ryżowego Soul of spring 01 od Alchemy of art wyciełam wzór z uroczą dziewczynką karmiącą baranka. Jego brzegi delikatnie zmoczyłam i postrzępiłam, by wtopił się w tło bez wyraźnej granicy.

First, I covered the whole thing with a layer of gesso and then white acrylic paint. I cut out a pattern with a charming girl feeding a lamb from a sheet of Soul of spring 01 rice paper. I slightly wet its edges and shreded them so that it blends into the background without a sharp border.



Miejsce, na którym chciałam wkleić wzór dokładnie pokryłam Medium do decoupage od Pentartu i przyłożyłam tam przygotowany wycinek, upewniając się, że dobrze przywarł do powierzchni. Proces schnięcia przyspieszyłam nagrzewnicą, ale równie dobrze możesz odczekać aż preparat wyschnie samoistnie. Cały front figurki pokryłam jeszcze dwoma warstwami tego samego medium, ponieważ łączy ono w sobie właściwości kleju i lakieru.

I covered the place where I wanted to paste the pattern thoroughly Decoupage medium from Pentart and I placed the prepared cutout there, making sure it sticked well to the surface. I accelerated the drying process with a heater, but you can also wait until it dries on its own. I covered the entire front of the figurine with two more layers of the same medium, because it combines the properties of glue and varnish.

Uznałam, że czegoś mi brakuje, więc postanowiłam użyć maski z marki Ciao Bella. Połączyłam białą pastę strukturalną z odrobiną farby Impasto w kolorze Boudoir pink i uzyskałam piękny jasnoróżowy kolor. Nałożyłam go w miejscach, gdzie planowałam umieścić kompozycje i ponownie przyspieszyłam schnięcie nagrzewnicą.

I decided that something was missing, so I decided to use a mask from Ciao Bella. I combined white structural paste with a bit of Impasto paint in Boudoir pink and obtained a beautiful light pink color. I applied it in the places where I planned to place the compositions and accelerated the drying time again with a heat gun. 

Teraz pora na kwiaty. Za pomocą wykrojnika Małe kwiaty od Craft Passion z białego foamiranu wycięłam kwiaty wiśni. Idealnie pasują do naszego marcowego wyzwania. Ich brzegi delikatnie zabarwiłam suchymi pastelami Toison d'or w czerwonym i różowym kolorze. Suche pastele gwarantują bardzo delikatny efekt i ładne przejścia kolorystyczne. Następnie delikatnie podgrzałam na żelazku i solidnie zgniotłam w palcach. Po lekkim uformowaniu płatków mogłam posklejać je i dodać pręciki.

Now it's time for flowers. Using the Small Flowers die from Craft Passion, I cut out cherry blossoms from white foamiran. They fit perfectly into our March challenge. I delicately colored their edges with dry Toison d'or pastels in red and pink. Dry pastels guarantee a very delicate effect and nice color transitions. Then I gently heated it on the iron and crimped it thoroughly between my fingers. After slightly shaping the petals, I could glue them together and add stamens.

Tekturkę z pisanką  z Tojej tekturki rozjaśniłam białym gessem i wkleiłam w prawym dolnym rogu figurki. Na niej zbudowałam kompozycję z grafiki koszyczka wielkanocnego, kwiatów i listków. W lewym górnym rogu wkleiłam dwa ptaszki i dodałam kilka kwiatów, by stwozyć efekt przestrzennej gałązki.

I brightened the cardboard with an Easter egg from Twoja tekturka with white gesso and glued it in the lower right corner of the figure. I built a composition using the graphics of an Easter basket, flowers and leaves. In the upper left corner I pasted two birds and added a few flowers to create the effect of a three-dimensional twig.

Zajączek od teraz dumnie zdobi półkę w pokoju mojej córki.

The bunny now proudly decorates the shelf in my daughter's room.
