Schyłek lata to chyba jeden z moich ulubionych okresów w roku. Uwielbiam te przygaszone kolory, tę wszechobecną żółć i kwiaty typowe dla tego sezonu. Nie mogłam się więc powstrzymać przed przygotowaniem kartki do naszego sierpniowego moodboardu z motywem słoneczników i plastra miodu. Nie mam pojęcia dlaczego, ale od razu pomyślałam o przejściu na emeryturę i zasłużonym odpoczynku.Pszczelarstwo to świetny pomysł na jesień życia.

The end of summer is probably one of my favorite times of the year. I love these subdued colors, the ubiquitous yellow and flowers typical of this season. I have no idea why, but I immediately thought about retiring and taking a well-deserved rest. Beekeeping is a great idea for the autumn years.


Z jesiennej kolekcji od Alchemy of art wybrałam dwa arkusze, którymi okleiłam kwadratową bazę i  stworzyłam dodatkową warstwę. By uzyskać kontrast, sięgnełam po czarny bazowy arkusz, a kalka techniczna pomogła mi lekko rozmyć górną warstwę. To świetny patent, jeśli chcemy złagodzić kolory lub ujednolicić tło. Każdą warstwę przykleiłam na kosteczkach dystansowych. Przy kalce skupiłam się, by umieścić je w miejscach, które później będą niewidoczne.

I chose two sheets from the autumn collection from Alchemy of art, which I used to cover a square base and create an additional layer. To achieve contrast, I used a black base sheet, and tracing paper helped me slightly blur the top layer. This is a great solution if we want to soften the colors or unify the background. I glued each layer on spacer cubes. When using tracing paper, I focused on placing them in places that would later be invisible.


Głównym elementem mojej pracy są dwa słoneczniki, które własnoręcznie wykonałąm z foamiranu, a ich środeczki uformowałam z brązowych drucików kreatywnych. Całość kompozycji umieściłam w lewym dolnym rogu kartki, a na jej środku przykleiłam kilka heksagonów. Choć kwiaty wybijają się na pierwszy plan, to dodatki nie są mniej ważne. Jesienne grafiki roślinne połączyłam z listkami z wykrojnika od Craft and you i tekturkami z marki Twoja tekturka. Perełki w płynie Nuvo Jewel drops w kolorze limoncello tak dobrze imitują krople miodu i rosy, że na kartce pojawiły się też dwie pracowite pszczoły. 

The main element of my work are two sunflowers, which I made myself from foamiran, and I formed their centers from brown creative wires. I placed the entire composition in the lower left corner of the card and glued several hexagons in the middle. Although flowers stand out, accessories are no less important. I combined autumn plant graphics with leaves from the Craft and you die and cardboards from the Your teturka brand. Nuvo Jewel drops liquid pearls in limoncello color imitate honey and dew drops so well that two busy bees also appeared on the card.
